IGM Explores Strategic Collaboration with Yayasan Hijau Malaysia, TNB, NEC UNITEN and DGeG
The Institute of Geology Malaysia (IGM) participated in a strategic collaboration discussion with Yayasan Hijau Malaysia (YHM), Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), the National Energy Centre of Universiti Tenaga Nasional (NEC UNITEN), and Digital Geoscience Global Sdn. Bhd. (DGeG) on 1 October 2026 at NEC, UNITEN.
The meeting brought together representatives from the participating organisations, including Mr Azlan Jamil, Chief Executive Officer of Yayasan Hijau Malaysia, and Tuan Haji Shaari Mohd, Head of Performance Delivery and Stakeholder Management at the Office of the President and Chief Executive Officer of TNB.
During the session, the organisations exchanged perspectives and explored opportunities to combine their respective expertise in geoscience, sustainability, energy, research and professional development.
The discussion also considered how IGM’s professional network and geoscience expertise could support future programmes involving environmental awareness, knowledge sharing and sustainable development.
The meeting marked a positive step towards strengthening IGM’s institutional relationships with YHM, TNB, NEC UNITEN and DGeG. Further engagement will be undertaken to identify suitable initiatives and develop the areas of shared interest into meaningful collaborations.
