The Institute of Geology Malaysia (IGM) successfully held its 35th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 22 July 2026 at Bangi Resort Hotel, bringing together members from across Malaysia to reflect on the Institute's achievements, discuss important organisational matters, and outline strategic priorities for the coming year.

The AGM also saw the election of the IGM Council for the 2026/2027 Session, who will lead the Institute in advancing the geological profession, strengthening professional standards, and supporting sustainable geoscience development in Malaysia.
