On 7 July 2026, the Department of Minerals and Geoscience Malaysia (JMG) Selangor/W.P., together with the Selangor Water Management Authority (LUAS) and the Institute of Geology Malaysia (IGM), conducted a courtesy visit and industry engagement session with the Malaysian Builders Association (MBAM).

The meeting focused on strengthening strategic collaboration, promoting the responsible use of groundwater, and enhancing geological risk management through the implementation of the Geological Site Verification Form (BPGT). Discussions also covered sustainable development, natural resource management, and the sharing of industry best practices.

IGM extends its appreciation to MBAM for the warm hospitality and valuable discussions, and looks forward to continued collaboration in supporting safer, more sustainable development initiatives in Malaysia.
